Jane Davis, LMSW, through HOPE-HOWSE (hope-howse.org), an all volunteer non-profit organization based on service as a path to peace, has worked with inmates for years. Her work is based on compassion and seeing the light within each person. Jane will share her experiences of Laughter Yoga with inmates and corrections officers. A video will also be shown. If you are interested in going into a local jail with Jane to facilitate a Laughter Yoga session with the inmates on Thursday 8/26 please call 770-843-0940. Space is limited. Only a handful will be able to go.

  • Objective 1: Raise the awareness for the need for laughter within the jails and prisons throughout the United States and the world.
  • Objective 2: Educate Laughter Yoga enthusiasts on how to maneuver around a very challenging prison system to create Laughter Clubs within.
  • Objective 3: Inspire Laughter Yoga enthusiasts to bring laughter and light in the darkness of the prisons.

Jane Davis, LMSW, and Debbie Ellison

Jane Davis, LMSW is a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader trained with Dr. Madan Kataria, founder of Laughter Yoga. In 1993, Jane founded an international peace organization called HOPE-HOWSE (hope-howse.org) based on service as a path toward peace. Jane was employed by the New Mexico Corrections Department as a psychologist for eight years and incorporated Laughter Yoga with inmates and corrections officers.

Jane has facilitated groups in prisons throughout the United States incorporating Laughter Yoga. While accepting the seriousness of life, she’s also witnessed how levity and laughter can add an amazing opportunity for stress relief.  She practices what she speaks about.
