Where To Eat

The Sandia Courtyard Hotel is centrally located to all major attractions in the Albuquerque Area.
The room rental includes a complementary deluxe breakfast buffet with hot / cold foods and beverages.
There are restaurants for all budgets in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, including two on-site restaurants: Sadie’s (offering Mexican Style menus) and the Owl Café (a true Albuquerque icon).

If this is relevant for you consider asking the Sandia Courtyard Hotel for a room that has a microfridge and microwave.

What To Wear

What To Wear

At the conference: there is no dress code for this conference. Bring any clothes that make you feel good.

In General: Time and time again, you’ll ask someone who has relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico why they decided to move there, and you’ll hear the response: “The weather.” Many visitors cannot believe how many completely beautiful days Albuquerque enjoys year round. The city basks in 310 days of sunshine, blessed with a mild, dry climate. Very low humidity means that even when temperatures rise, summer is always comfortable. Their average annual rainfall is about 9 in. and the average relative humidity is only 44%. Be aware that low humidity and lots of sunshine means you will need to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water as well as using lotion and sunblock for protection.

What To Bring

What To Bring

A Big Smile! This conference will be fun. Guaranteed.

Pen and paper. You will receive an electronic handout for most of the workshop sessions AFTER the conference so you may want to bring a pen and paper should you want to take notes.

Lotion and Sunblock. The August weather in Albuquerque is very pleasant, and you will be at 5280 feet above sea level. You get sunburns faster in higher altitudes.

Your Laughter Club Banner(s). We’ll happily decorate the conference room walls with them.
